Sorry, I do not seem to have any of my business cards with me… and that closes another door for you to promote your business.

If you happen to always find yourself frantically patting your pockets and seem to habitually lose track of your business cards every time you need them, you, my friend, are totally losing your golden opportunity – the opportunity to make money!

Your business card, whether you get it through an online business card printing company or a traditional one, is your very first marketing tool that can help you open doors to a lot of business opportunities. More than any of your marketing tools in your arsenal, your business cards pave the way to a very successful business. Without them, your target clients lose the very thing that can remind them why they should engage in business with you.

Forgetting to have any with you is the biggest no-no in business. In fact, it is the worst faux pas you can ever make when in business. It is a mistake with very significant consequences. Every time somebody asks for one and you sheepishly reply that you do not have one with you, you have already missing a golden opportunity to boost the growth of your business. You are missing an honest-to-goodness invitation to increase your sales.

Having someone ask for your business card is an outright expression of confidence from the person you are talking with. It is one of the best compliments for you and your business. Not being able to produce it therefore at a very critical time is not only embarrassing for you, but it puts the person who’s asking for it in a very offensive position that might very well put you in a bad light. It would just mean one thing – you do not have the professionalism to be in the business.

You are not serious enough that you forget the most important accessory to have when networking. What tells them about your action is that you do not regard your target clients too highly; hence, you are too sloppy to be entrusted with their trust and confidence.

Remembering to bring your cards with you is as simple as having a strategy in giving them out. You have to be conscious of finding a way to use your business cards to promote your business. If you do not, you are more than likely forget to have your business cards whether to an important business meeting or a casual lunch.

Whether it has to bring 10 cards everywhere you go, or tucking a box in your car’s glove compartment, deciding to not be caught without your business cards is one way of telling your target audience that you value their attention and are serious in dealing with them.
